WilderQuest website terms and conditions of use
The WilderQuest – Nature Discovery iPad application (the application) is distributed by Apple through the iTunes App Store. We recommend that you examine the privacy policy of Apple and the Terms and Conditions of the iTunes App Store to understand their procedures for collecting, using and disclosing personal information.
Access to the WilderQuest website ('this website') is granted by the Office of Environment and Heritage ('OEH'), Department of Premier and Cabinet, acting for and on behalf of the Crown in right of the State of New South Wales, subject to the following terms and conditions.
The National Parks and Wildlife Service, known as NPWS, is part of OEH.
Registration
OEH ('we', 'us', 'our'), requires a guardian or parent to register on behalf of a child (person under 16 years of age) user of this website.
We generally recommend that applicants register online using a pen name or pseudonym as their login name. Users must not impersonate another living person or registered user.
We may refuse registration of users whose suggested login names are considered inappropriate. Grounds for refusal may include:
- offensive content;
- obscenity;
- abuse;
- defamatory content;
- content;
- copyright infringement;
- brand names or registered trademarks.
We reserve the right to refuse login names at our sole discretion.
Passwords and Security
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of your password. If you become aware of any authorised use of your WilderQuest account, you should notify OEH immediately.
Use of the website by children
We recommend if a child (person under 16 years of age) uses this website their use of the website should be supervised by a parent or guardian.

We endeavour to make sure that information provided on this website is correct at the time of its publication.

Images of people now deceased
The Office of Environment and Heritage is aware that many Aboriginal people and Torres Strait Islanders are offended by the depiction of deceased members of their communities. While we have made every effort to ensure that only pictures of Aboriginal people and Torres Strait Islanders still living are used on this site, visitors to the site are warned that it may contain images of people now deceased. Please let us know if you know of the death of any Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person depicted on this site.
